Published on the Inail portal the data ofaccident reports with reference to the period January-September 2022. The data express an increase of +32.2% compared to 2021 with about 536,002 total complaints. Inail expressed itself in this regard: “To quantify the phenomenon, including the cases positively ascertained by the Institute, it will therefore be necessary to wait for the consolidation of the data for the entire 2022, with the conclusion of the administrative and health process relating to each complaint. “, this is what is reported on the dedicated page.
Waiting is therefore the answer to actually understand if the regulatory and institutional innovations, made recently, will actually lead to concrete results. Accomplice of this wait is also that portion of complaints due to contagion from Covid-19, once identified it will be much more feasible to understand the accident trend.
“That said, in the first nine months of 2022 there was a marked increase in accident reports overall compared to the same period of 2021 (due in part to the higher number of reports of accidents from Covid-19 and in part to the growth in “traditional” accidents, both at work and on the way), a decrease in fatal ones (due to the considerable lower weight of deaths from contagion, to which, however, is contrasted by the simultaneous increase in deaths in itinere) and an increase in occupational diseases. “

In conjunction with the publication of the Inail open data for the first nine months of 2022, the new quarterly bulletin on reports of accidents and occupational diseases is also available on the Institute’s website, which examines the trend of the accident and technopathic phenomenon detected between January and September, compared with the same period of 2021. The bulletin – accompanied by glossary, methodological note, graphs and tables – analyzes in particular the trend of accident reports overall and with a fatal outcome by gender, region and mode of occurrence, while the trend of reports of occupational diseases is declined by gender and region.
